CalMAX/California Materials Exchange. Quarterly paper catalog, also available anytime online, of materials wanted or needed for exchange. CalMAX has operated for over 10 years and is a great source to find inexpensive or free feedstock, especially when you want to test a recycled line or experiment without a lot of investment. Waste Reduction Awards Program (WRAP). An annual program in which companies self-certify their efforts to reduce, reuse, recycle, and buy recycled products. Being "green" has arrived as a reason to do business with a company, and this program identifies firms that have good environmental programs. Annual winners get to use the WRAP logo, certifying their positive environmental status. There is also a WRAP of the Year awarded and many press events that highlight these special businesses. RecycleStore. An online product catalog to help people find recycled-content product manufacturers. At this time, only RMDZ businesses are featured, in an effort to promote both buying recycled and to build on the efforts of this special business assistance program. It is more oriented to retail products, compared to the RCP Database, below, which contains a wider variety of product types. Go to: http://www.recyclestore.com.

Recycled-Content Database. Lists thousands of recycled products, as well as manufacturers, distributors, and processors who make the products or process the materials used to make them. Helps State agencies and private industry find the resources to buy recycled. Information is drawn from several national RCP databases and supplemented from the Board’s various informational resources. Another way our businesses get attention for making recycled products.
